MARK DYKES-Division Manager, Telecom

Mark Dykes has over 13 years experience in design, construction and project management in the telecommunication industry. Mark entered the telecommunications field in 1995 after receiving his degree from the University of California at Davis. Before joining Manuel Bros. Mark worked as an Outside Plant Manager overseeing existing networks and all customer new-builds in Sacramento and the Bay Area. Mark joined Manuel Bros. in 2005 to assist with the management of the Telecom Division. Mark now manages all aspects of the Telecom Division maintaining direct contact with estimating, project scheduling, and job progression through completion. |
KEN JARVIS-Division Manager, Wireless

Ken Jarvis joined Manuel Bros. as a Field Manager in 2004 managing projects for Bechtel, Cingular, T-Mobile and Ericsson. Ken now manages all wireless projects for Manuel Bros. Ken began his career over 28 years ago as a lineman, moving forward Ken soon was overseeing maintenance and project management of international satellite, microwave, Sonet and DWDM networks, DC power systems and free space optical systems. During the boom of submarine fiber cable systems Ken managed construction, commissioning and operations of five international submarine fiber optic cable systems. Ken contributes a wide range of expertise to the Manuel Bros., organization. |
JOSEPH P. MEIDL - Division Manager, Intelligent Transportation Systems

Joe Meidl has been with Manuel Bros. since 1999. Joe is responsible for all aspects of Manuel Bros. involving Intelligent Transportation Systems projects. Joe is currently active with the management and integration assistance of homeland security-type video surveillance projects. Joe’s history with Manuel Bros. Inc. and with previous employers include managing and supporting crews and performing the installation of backbone and long haul fiber optic cable, along with various voice/data/video communications systems. Joe’s "hands on" experience provides him with a background in small and large telecom installations, data networks, and broadband / baseband / IP video systems. Joe has worked on projects throughout the United States, South America and Europe. |
SEAN KILGROW, P.E.-Division Manager, Renewable Energy

Sean Kilgrow is a Professional Engineer specializing in renewable energy project development. Sean has been with Manuel Bros. since 1999. He has worked extensively with several renewable technologies and is in the process of developing demonstration projects in biomass, methane optimization, and clean coal. Sean has managed over $60 million in contracting and design build projects. He brings 20 years of experience in the science and construction industries having design experience in civil and electrical engineering. Sean Kilgrow was honored with the Collagen Award for Outstanding Work in Science and Technology for his work in mathematics from the University of Alabama. Sean is also the co-author of two technical papers and has one patented pending invention. His work also includes research in direct heat conversion to electricity using solid-state devices. Sean has presented his work at the International Geothermal Conference in Reykjavik, Iceland on solid-state electrical conversion using geothermal resources. |
HANS SHILLINGER P.E.-Division Manager, Specialty

Hans Shillinger is a registered civil engineer with over 25 years experience in civil construction and design projects. Hans began his construction career as a runner with a civil engineering company in 1983 on the San Francisco Cable Car Rehabilitation Project and joined their professional staff after graduating from the Agricultural Engineering Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He worked as a design engineer for two small civil engineering firms before returning to the contractor side of the industry. He has experience in telecommunications, wastewater, pipeline, land development, horizontal directional drilling and environmental projects. Since joining Manuel Bros. in 2000, Hans has managed numerous projects and acted as their lead estimator on civil oriented work. |
